  1. the problem is mostly on launch. if I try to launch a wing without trimmers slightly open,it hangs back in the window and pulls back . even with the zero 17m which has trimmers,I always open trimmers about 1/3 for launch and then close accordingly. I won't try to takeoff in anything over 30/35 km/h.! thats kitesurfing time...!
  2. it is normal without the wing pulling upwards. on takeoff and landing the wing is pulling the pmotor upwards so its riding higher on your back so shouldn't be a problem. if your problem is when walking around, try tightening the shoulder straps on the harness to get the pmotor higher on your back. some of the local pilots here have removed the horizontal support on their zeniths to increase clearance . Personally I don't have such problem on my V3.
  3. I fly PG/PPG and have a zero 17 and BGD base M/L for PG and spider 26/sirocco 24 for PPG. I can fly in most conditions . the problem with flying in strong winds seems to be the gust. very rare do I find laminar strong winds which make flying small wings tricky. having said that,I would suggest a light version PPG wing like a spider/sirocco with trims which have a good glide with trims closed and safe penetration with trims open. hope this helps.
  4. my sirocco is a smaller size 24 so its more agile from that alone but apart from the fact that its abit more tricky on take off(it needs more control to keep it overhead)in flight its 30%more agile and the brakes are more responsive and slightly shorter.this makes landing in nil wind easier since i don't need a wrap as i do with the r2 and spider. my opinion is they have good and bad! you will never mess up a takeoff with the spider and r2 but you might find the handling abit slow(you can counteract with tip steering which makes the handling much better) the sirocco because of its higher aspect ratio and lack of shark nose needs good handling on launch and might be abit unnerving for a pilot with not many hours in bumpy air but is a joy to fly otherwise. an interesting comparison would be a 24 spider/r2 and a 26sirocco..! im 90kg pilot with a 25kg pmotor
  5. i have some videos of all 3 wings including the nil wind reverse launch with the spider on my fbook page Nick Angeli if you like to check it out.!
  6. don't forget to have them balanced too..!
  7. mine is a 3 blade so got charged 20euro each for the 2 blades which had minor damage and 70euro for the one which had an inch broken off! they were balanced as well so quite happy knowing it was done right by the guys who make them..! ps:shipping was extra
  8. damaged mine and sent them to helix! got them back repaired and balanced! didn't know helix had a repair service unit now.!
  9. i had a r2 in 26 for a few months and then got the spider in 26 as soon as it came out.the r2 is a brilliant wing! very easy and forgiving wing on takeoff, nice landing and comfortable in flight! the spider is 20% easier on takeoff in light to zero wind (i reverse launch in nill wind situations since im from a pg backround)and about 10% more agile in flight.i think the brakes are slightly lighter as well.the feedback in bumpy air is abit more with the spider. i now have a sirocco 24 as well but keeping my spider as my go to wing. this is my opinion.!
  10. thanks for the info Christian..! mine should be here by the end of the month ! looking forward to flying it..!
  11. Hi guys patiently awaiting my new sirocco 24 to go along with my 26 spider. love the spider so keeping that for long xc flights and ordered the smaller sirocco as a more playful choice. have been pging for awhile now and found the spider abit too slow responce wise but quite happy with its overal speed and ease of takeoff and landing. Concidering I havent tried the sirocco,I think I will enjoy its faster responce. I'm 90kg and 120kg all up can somebody who's flown this wing give me some feedback.? haven't found much info on this wing..! thanks!
