  1. Hey up Andy.

I've got your wind sock. We thought it was Mark Morgan's as it was behind his van and he was first to leave so I packed it up with intentions of giving him it back at parafest.

Are you at parafest or is it best to post out.

Please see the messenger below that I sent last night.

  2. So first thing is first.

When your flying. There is no wind. You are part of it. Think of your self as a little bubble floating around. Yes your ground speed changes. But you are now the wind so to answer your earlier question. Wind has no influence. Every machine has torque stear. Don't let any one kid you on that. Direct drive stears you right.  Direct clutch stears you left. Belt drive clutch stears you right. If you fly a dudek Wing they come with a torque line. This you set with a knot... several in fact depending on the power you have applied. If you don't have a torque line the only other way is to set your trim slightly faster on the on torque side. However... Unless you stay even on the power the hole flight it's pointless.  You'll spend all your time playing with trims instead of enjoying the view.  Hope that helps.

Hi all, my name is Francois and would love more information on how to get started in Paramotoring.

I am totally new to this sport the only experience I have is skydiving. (static line jumps and then progressing to freefall only had 42 jumps to my name when I had to pack it all in due to work commitments)

Now things have settled it will be great to take up a sport with a bit more air time under a wing than a canopy. I live in the North East and would love to fly locally (Redcar, Guisborough the Moors and coast line)

So please any advice would be great i.e. starter cost, what training/equipment to purchase and training venues. My funds available is round the £7500.00 mark.

    Many thanks all

    Francois

Feel free to give me a call. 07985340118. We cover training and equipment throughout the Yorkshire region.

  5. Did you know…

Huddersfield and Hull Paramotor Clubs have now combined forces to bring you the biggest and best training facility in Yorkshire.

From East to West Yorkshire we have been establishing relationships with land owners to secure sites in many locations. These range from several fields in:

    The West:

    • Huddersfield

In Huddersfield we have several fields and iconic locations to fly by including: Emley Moor mast; Castle Hill, Holmfirth (filming location of ‘The Last of the Summer Wine’) and the famous sculpture gardens.

    • Halifax & Bradford

Several fields in all wind directions. A most enjoyable flight over Ogden water reservoirs and surrounding areas

    The East:

    • Hull

We have use of an airfield at Leven with designated training area; camping and refreshment facilities.

    • Secret coastal beaches!!!

That’s right we have several secret coastal locations exclusively for use of members of the East to West Yorkshire Paramotor clubs. Here you’ll be able to fly all day long away from those tricky thermal conditions you experience when flying inland.

    In-between:

Other field locations we can use for those in the middle of our main flying locations are:

    o Rochdale

    o York

    o Goole

    o Worksop

So no matter where you are in Yorkshire, if you want the best advice; training or equipment be sure to give us a call.

    Dealerships:

We have dealerships with what we consider to be the best paramotors in the world!!! And guess what? They’re British. That’s right. We have tried them all but we support our home grown Bulldogs and Parajets. This means that not only are you flying the best but parts are readily available. Should you break a propeller… no problem? We have them in stock. That means no more down time. You get to the field and fly. We also hold a dealership with Dudek gliders. Again based on Dudek safety standards we believe you’re in safe hands. Myself and my colleague Alan Beetham both fly Dudek Snakes and we think they’ve been Bewitched with speed, agility and amazing lift. So the sky really is the limit!!

    Introduction to Paramotoring:

We offer great service, great prices and even better social events. So get in touch for your introduction to paramotoring and see for yourself how amazing the world looks from the skies above.

Is your partner intrigued and wants to fly too??? No problem. We offer Tandem flight experiences to share the love for the skies with everyone.

    Training.

This season we have brand new school equipment for you to train on. So forget buying that second hand tat from eBay. With expert advise we will guide you on whats hot and what's not to buy once you can fly.

As PMC instructors you can be sure you are in safe hands with a fantastic training syllabus that will get you through step by step every part of your training.

So what are you waiting for???? Get in touch today and start living the dream.
