How're you healing?

I do a lot of TV / Film work with a lot of stunt men and they all without fail use go pro - for what we do, I agree, there isn't a next step up really. I have occasionally flown with an SLR camera to take some great stills but that's about it. Have you got a new go pro hero 3 black? It's pretty impressive!

If you're just going to be doing PPG, then high hang points are fine and your flight will feel more stable, but you do get a little less feel for what the wing is up to. If you're converting from paragliding, and are used to 'active flying', then low hang points are for you - the wing will feel more responsive but as has already been mentioned, the flight can get a little bumpy. You could always go for for a happy medium and opt' for semi high hang points.pereonally, I find launching with lower hang points easier but I suppose its just what you're used too.

I can recommend the coastline around Durness but you'd need to call the military range controller at Faraid Head to make sure the MATZ isn't live - it's spectacular!

It's all, down to personal preference really -every salesman will tell you that there kit is the best and will give you loads of reasons to buy theirs. As long as you get the weight ranges right, which ever machine takes your fancy. Personally, I can recommend the Bulldog! Light weight, plenty of power and tough as old boots!

Has it ever worked lose?

I've seen a few videos on YouTube where people have mounted a Go Pro cam (or similar) to the top of their cage, angled down slightly so you can see what the pilot is up to and still get a really good view and feel for the flight.

Does anyone on here use this method to mount their cams? I really fancy it but am obviously concerned that vibration might work it loose and drop it through my prop.

Do both mate! It opens 2 facets of flying to you and if you can fly from a hill in higher winds, it'll improve your wing handling skills which in the long run will make you a better Paramotor pilot and probably save you money as you won't be so prone to cocking up launches and damaging your kit.

Lol. I suppose it's all relative really. Some guy I know apparently paid £400+ for an Agama type system life jackets for the pilot are great but if I'm u fortunate enough (or stupid and inept enough) to end up in the drink, I wanna save my kit too.

My mate has one...he loves it. Sturdy in flight and easy to launch - no complaints from him.

Anyone fly with one? Anyone had to use one in anger? Anyone had a water landing and wish they did have one?

I'm flying a few coastal areas and am thinking its probably a good idea to get one just to cover all bases.

Hi Guys, thinking of nipping to the Highlands for a few flights. I know about the obvious military risks in that area and am keen not to get wiped out by a Typhoon on a training exercise but I've heard that 'Right to roam' legislation is different north of the border which means (safety permitting) we can take off almost anywhere (within reason) and don't necessarily need land owners permission like you do down south. Is this true? Anyone with experience in this area able to advise me please?

Can anyone help me? I've recently been visiting Dorset in the Wareham / Swanage /Poole areas and I wanna fly the Jurassic coast as it looks spectacular!

Can anyone recommend a good take off / landing sites or any particular areas to fly over?
