  1. I am planning to replace of a new harness for my paramotor, the old was also apco brand(ten years ago),  it is said the apco  universal harness can fit for any paramotor frame.

Is there anyone used apco universal harness for paramotor?

    apco introduction following:

Above all we took care so the harness has all necessary provision to be adapted to virtually any paramotor frame on the market – both for low and high hook in points.
Then we made sure that the harness was even more comfortable with longer and generously padded shoulder straps. Side pockets were added and the harness was made to be universal – one size fits all with zipper expander (zipper closed S/M size, zipper open L/XL size).

  2. air conception Nitro 200  Engine:

    200cc. 2 Stroke. 40:1 synthetic oil.

    28hp @ 8100 rpm.

    1:2.7 belt drive.

    Nylock long life pull start.

    11.3kg engine with steel exhaust.

    Double compression joint exhaust.

Exhaust has built in dB reduction.

    Carbon fiber silencer.

Advanced internal & external engine cooling.

Anti slip triple belt life technology.

All bolts thread locked and position marked.

    Tuned for linear throttle response.

  3. I am planning to buy a powerply sting for paramotor and free fly , I weight 73kg, and my paramotor weight 27kg, what size I should choice, Sting 140 or sting 160?

I cite specification following for reference:

    Sting 140 : DHV take off weight(kg) 80-105 ; DULV take off weight(kg) 80-140 ; wing weights 6kg

    Sting 160: DHV take off weight(kg) 95-125 ; DULV take off weight(kg) 95-160 ; wing weights 6kg

  4. I used Gin Bolero III(M size) to fly both paraglider and paramotor, though it's a paraglider wing, the user handbook says it's also for paramotor. the max load is 105kg, the paramotor load is 108kg,over 3 kg. when nil wind, the sink rate is big.

So, I think you had better read the user handbook of your wing, and if it say it can be used for paramotor. If so, you may fly for paramotor, unless cann't do it. it had better that paramotor load isn't over the max load of the wing.

your paramotor exceeds the max load too much, and it's dangerous for landing while nil wind based my experience.

  5. I have a F33 AS engine(30HP with hirth's exhaust), I used it as an engine of my paramotor, no reduction, directly drive proper (diameter 80CM),F33 AS weigts 12.7kg, exhaust weights 2.1kg , reduction weigts 2.3kg. RMP over 8000, and thrust is 60kg nearly. For me(73kg),the thrust is enough.

advantages of directly drive proper without reduction:

1: light weigt, my paramotor weight 24kg(no fuel)

2: RMP of proper responses variety of throttle quickly

3: short framework, portable and transport

shortcoming of directly drive proper without reduction:

1: efficiency of engine isn't the best

  6. when apply ppg risers in wing(GIN bolero III), I have following experience, pls reference:

    1:wing becomes reflex, turning-round is more easy;

    2:you shuld run more quick in order to avoid deflation while handing wing under ground;

3: if wind is almost nil, taking off (ppg mode) is more easy. but changing to pg mode while landing, stall velocity of wing become samll in PG mode.

  7. I fly paramotor with GIN bolero III(M size,85-105kg, wing weights 6.0kg,produced in 2007 ), total weight while taking off is about 108kg(with 4L gasoline, without reserve).

I weigt 71kg, paramotor weigt 24kg , over that down limitation 3kg. it's a little hard touchdown ground when wind is below 2m/s.

The user guide of GIN bolero III sayes that the pilot of GIN company uses gin bolero III to fly paramotor, and it's ok.

BTW, I buy the paramotor riser from my instructor, I use paramotor riser mode to take off while wind is almost nil, but in general, I take off with paraglider riser mode. I think it's more stable than paramotor riser mode.

During the flying, I would fly more quickly by means of changing to paramotor riser mode.

hope my experience to help you.

  8. I fly paramotor with GIN bolero III(M size,85-105kg,6.0kg), total weight is about 108kg(with 4L gasoline, without reserve, I weigt 71kg, paramotor weigt 24kg), over that down limitation 3kg. it's a little hard touchdown ground when wind is below 2m/s.

bolero plus and bolero III are "brother" and same code size.

Tom weights 90kg,it's not proper to choice M size to be paramotor according to my experience. It had better to select XL Size(115-130kg,6.8kg, 90kg+30kg+6.8kg+3.2kg(reserve,APCO Mayday 20,3.2kg)=130kg).

On the other hand, it's little light for you to fly free paraglider(90kg+6.8kg+15kg(harness)+3.2kg(reserve)=115kg), may bring water bag if wind is breeze.

    -------------------------------------------

Just looked a bit harder and the medium is 85kg-105kg so a 90kg me and a 30?kg motor is going to be well over the top end of the weight range :(
