  1. I was originally thinking an Easyjet engine, but settled on a Parajet Volution 3 with a Moster 185 Plus. :-)

    As for the wing, I have a Ozone MagMax.

    Have my first lesson on Friday, wish me luck.

  2. Hahaha just for me unfortunately, I'm 140kg naked but I think the RAF would shoot me down if I did that. There would be a constant moon in the sky.

    To be fair, my boots are size 13 so they must weigh at least 139kg. :-)

  3. Thank you so much for everyone's thoughts. I didn't realise how many options were available. Such a nice and friendly community too.

    Taking the above comments into consideration, along with what I have read elsewhere on this forum, I'm now leaning towards the;

    Parajet Thor 250 + Electric start

    https://www.parajet.com/volution#_

    Everyone seems extremely happy with Parajet and the V3 with the Thor 250 looks like it has enough power to get my fast food lovin backside off the ground. :-)

  4. Hello everyone, I'm still quite new and so I apologise if this has already been asked however is it possible to place this information on some sort of navigation equipment, satnav etc? I appreciate that forward planning is key, however it may be useful to have this information to hand for cross country flying etc.

    Excellent work by the way!

  5. Hello all,

    I was hoping for some pros and cons of the following two paramotors.

    Air Conception NiTRO XL

    http://www.custom-air.co.uk/Custom_Air_Paramotors/Air_Conception_Nitro_XL_NXL.html

    Parajet Maverick Pro

    https://www.parajet.com/maverick

    I feel like I'm going round in circles as every time I settle on one, some more information comes along to make me change my mind. I'm leaning towards the Air Conception as it has a lot more thrust and an electric start.

    To give you some background, I'm 6'5' tall, weigh 140kg and I am mainly interested in cross country flying, so economy is important but I would also like in the words of Jeremy Clarkson; MORE POWER! :-)

    Thanks in advance.

  6. Hello all,

    This is my very first post after registering yesterday. I've spent the last 24 hours pouring over countless posts. :-)

    The more I read the more I want to learn to paramotor. My questions are, if anyone could spare two minutes to give advice;

    *I'm 6'4 and 22st (139kg), will this cause any major headaches? Or will I just need an easyjet engine as a motor? :-)
    *I live near Warrington (between Liverpool and Manchester). Does anyone have any recommendations for any flight schools? I don't mind travelling and checking into a nearby hotel for a intensive course (really didn't want to say "crash"). Costwise, like most, I really need to keep down. Any suggestions?

    I had been looking at;
    http://www.airways-airsports.com/flying/paramotoring/paramotoring-courses-and-costs
    However got confused with differentiating between; "Club Pilot Power" and "Paramotor" courses?

    I also saw on this forum;

    https://www.paramotorclub.org/store/product/4-full-paramotor-training-course/

    I thought £900 is fantastic value for money, considering other sites charge thousands. Does anyone have any feedback?

    Thank you in advance.
    Mike.
