I use a Gin stuff sack to protect my paragliding wing from the UV rays in the summer or for a quick pack up
Expensive bit very strong.

I have not used Aerofix but have used the Loft for a Repack and harness mod.
Fantastic service and would use again...

I learnt to paraglide with Airways.
Great bunch of instructors. 1st class instruction

Hi Dave,
Mike at the loft done our reserve and harness inspection and repack for £30.
Its normally £40 but we drove down with 3 for him to do, so he done us a deal.
Its good to go down as you get to hang in his rig and throw your reserve....
Plus he put some reserve attachments points on my shoulder straps for £10.. something that woody valley forgot to do !!!!

back from the loft. Reserves thrown and re packed and attachment points now on shoulder straps. Thanks to the loft. Great service.

Thanks for your reply Pete.
Nothing on the front of shoulder straps.
Off to the loft soon so i guess it will be a job for them.....

Hello.
I am about to continue my training when the weather sorts its self out at the weekends....
Been looking at how to attatch my reserve to my harness, but cant see any points? I was very suprised not to find any points at the back of the harness
Do people attatch their reserve bridles to their frames instead? would the frame stand the shock load of a deployment?
I have a fly smn 122 with a woody valley harness?
I am going to The Loft tomorrow to get my Paragliding reserve Re-packed so might take my Paramotor harness down for them to look at. I am sure they could sew in some points for me..
Cheers

I have sent you a PM,

Very interesting !
I had heard that he landed on someone when he landed from flying near/over Everest .

I have bought all my kit and just starting to learn.
I knew that i wanted to be in the air again, and i would rather learn on my kit instead learning on school kit and then having to adapt to my own kit once the training was over
Having paraglided in the past i know what it feels like to be airborn so buying the gear was a much smaller risk than if you have never been in the air before.
Do most schools ask you to have your own equiptment to get airborne with ?

What do you wear on your feet whilst flying and why.
Flying boots or walking boots ?

Thank you all for your replies,
They are all good points made,
I think i would rather carry one than be wishing that i had one if the situation arose ......

Hello
I am just about to start my paramotor lessons,
What is the score with carring a reserve? do people bother or not? most of the people i have seen do not bother carrying one.
I was quite suprised by this, i have done a bit of paragliding and most people carried a reserve,
So why dont people carry a reserve ? i read somewhere that 1 in 20 carry one ? this seems very low to me .
I will have one when i get to fly
And Hello to every one on the forum
