Are you based in sunny sunderland mate?I am originally from there,my kids are at university at the moment but once they are graduated and cut all ties to the bank of dad I was actually thinking of moving back to the banks of the wear/

I arrived in Thailand a total newbie in march of this year,a number of brits were also doing the course,zero-hero in 8 days,no time lost due to weather as it was perfect,paramotor Thailand,david the owner was training the indian world championship team when I was there,he has an enviable CV which has expanded since he posted this on his website...

I have been flying all around the world ever since I finished my training in 2007.

Originally sunderland but now split my time between surrey and Hong Kong,i just completed my footlaunch training in Thailand and will be going back there november'ish for trike training

Ice fishing in Canada last Monday in -21 came back to surrey few inches of snow for a couple of days,all melted now and its raining 

I am just shopping for insurance at the moment as off to Thailand last week in march for a month,meant to do it last year but went to the darkside and had microlight lessons instead,paramotoring this year,will phone some of the insurance companies next week thanks 

I am off to Canada on Friday for a few weeks mate,but booking a month in Thailand for maybe april,i used to live in that neck of the woods,i should have done it back then,yes I can spend three weeks,i know how busy they are as dream was looking into starting a parachute venture when I was there last year,onwards and upwards eh

Depending how busy they are with other stuff like tandem flights etc. they might or might not run paramotoring courses. Better phone first. Ask “Mr Dream”, funny name but really nice guy. 

Yes,i already know Dream,very nice guy,loads of good anecdotes,me and my kids have flown microlight and had tandem paramotor flights with him,how was the tuition?

May iask who you did your course with in Thailand mate?I was supposed to be doing one last year but did a block-book of microlight lessons instead in france,going to Thailand in a few months and paramotor is an itch that still needs to be scratched 

He is committed now,he cant back out without looking like a plum once the story has gone to press,be interesting to see how he progresses

Anyone recommend a UK insurance firm that would cover a thai course please?

Flythailand,if your the russian gentleman from nongprue?i had a microlight flight with you once which i thoroughly enjoyed,i might have had a tandem paramotor flight with dream if he is a thai with a pony-tail,he works with a really nice irish guy sometimes?I will be back in LOS soon i am just doing research on the best schools and suchlike at the moment,firing off a few e-mails today,thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I know bohol very well pat,thats exactly why I want a paramotor,nice photograph,if i am ever at a loose end in tagbilaran i might pop over and look that gentleman up as i have also had microlight lessons.

I know its possible,but has anyone ever been island hopping with their paramotor?I have a house in the Philippines,its the worlds second biggest archipelago after indonesia,lots of pristine uninhabited white sand beach islands that i would love to drop onto for a looksee,i used to have a rib but sometimes it was difficult to get over reefs etc,the longest distance i would like to travel is from dumaguete-siquijor,its around 30 miles straight line distance,anyone ever done it?I have a budget of £10k for kit,whats the most reliable?Thanks in advance.
