FFS, I can not believe that I am even posting this. It was so CLEARLY ment in jest.

No response was expected, as I said it was taken in jest.

Pete,
Simon just called me a muppet, which I took in jest. But if I am a Muppet, is the person who taught me the Muppet Master.
Come on, surely if the wind is really varying, you will sometimes have to reposition it irrelevant of which wing you have. I have a revolution and if the wind is say up to 45 degrees off I can get the wing up and turn into it, but any more than that and I would wait or move it.

How should a new guy lay his wing out when the wind is variable?
All of our students know the answer to that question.

I believe the answer is 'several times'

Thought I would mention this one again. Haven't advertised elsewhere but will do soon if no interest.

Dan,
Sorry to hear this, sounds pretty horrible.
I bought my PAP from Deano who kindly spent an hour or so going over it with me, including the best way to hold the throttle when starting. Seems obvious once you have been told but if you hold the main (fixed) part of the throttle in the palm of your hand and then grip the frame with the moving part towards the motor, the only way to open (squeeze) the throttle is by bending your fingers. Can't think of the best way to word it, but basically if you or the motor push for whatever reason you won't open the throttle.
This doesn't mean it couldn't still happen though.
I wish you a quick recovery
cheers

I haven't heard any mention of the flag pole for some time, anyone still go up there? Spent plenty of days ground handling but never got to fly from there. Would like to do an evening there some time soon if we can still use the site?

Could you tie a piece of thin rubber band below the prussic knot? It would need to be checked (along with the prussic) every time used but would prevent(or reduce the chance) the knot slipping. Haven't tested this theory by the way, just thinking out loud.

Wondered if anyone was planning to go. Also if anyone has been before is it worth a visit?
cheers

My PMs are now working so I assume the same goes for everyone else

Eddie,
Couldn't fit wife, two kids and kit in the car! Decided that rather than buying a new car I would be greedy and get a second motor to leave in Cornwall, which worked out cheaper. Due to work, etc I haven't been down much and the motor is taking up space. I may hang on to it by getting rid of other stuff to free up storage space.
Speaking of Shabbington, when's Steve going to sort out a field?
cheers

Airsports Insurance Bureau Ltd offer PPG insurance, they seem to be linked to the BHPA but say you do not need BHPA membership to get cover.

I have just recieved (Tuesday) a letter from them saying that I am still covered and will be able to renew when the policy expires?

Hello all,
Trying to find maps for my 60csx but the current Garmin products are no longer compatible apparently. Perhaps I am being a muppet, but any assistance would be appreciated?
Cheers
