More expensive than single split but much better for making sure they stay put.

    Thanks Andy,

I'm currently using jubilee clips but will swap out when I have the trike complete. Previously I have modified a kite buggy but it is not very forgiving on a hard landing so I am doing a rebuild using 25mm GRP.  Do you mind letting my know what length you finaly settled on for you rear axle?

  2. Does anyone have multiple wings insured with AXA?

I copied the following form their website but it’s still not 100% clear to me.

How do I change or add a glider/wing to my insurance cover if I have bought a new glider/wing?

In case of change of a glider/wing please inform us about type, serial number and year of manufacture. We then alter your insurance policy and send you the new document. There is a EUR 5,-- charge for such alterations, which can be paid together with the next insurance premium.

If you want to add another glider/wing to your insurance (up to 3 solo gliders/wings for personal use are possible) please proceed as mentioned above.

We will send again all documents (including an English translation of your policy) to you by post or upon request by Email.

Am I right to interpret that it will only cost 5 Euros to add another wing to the policy?

Appologies if this has been covered before.

  3. My prop is usually horizontal unlike how it is in the pic and usually has my prop covers on. Also (not shown) is a rubber block that I swivel into place for the hub of the prop to sit against. This allows me to swivel the block out of the way, remove the prop covers and bungie and run the engine up.

  4. Nothing wrong with the Thule Easybase, I've been using mine for over a year without any problems. Drive at 60-70mph without issue. I even sit on it to strap into the harness.

  5. Looks like we have all been doing similar things during the non flying weather. They all look great :-D

I used the Sena 20S for my setup but not enclosed within the ear defenders.

I'm too tight to spend the money on a SR10 so hard wired up the Aux port of the sena through the ear defenders to my Baofeng radio (Kenwood style Plug). This allows me to hear anything from the Baofeng through the Sena speakers.

A PTT button to the ear defenders. An extra mic was also added Because I couldn't get a mic signal from the 20S to work with the Baofeng although In tests it worked with my phone through google. Obviously the noise cancelling only works for the 20s and not for the extra mic/baofeng radio.

I will post a couple of pics when I get a chance.

How comfortable is the Icaro Solar X helmet Steve?

    Would you recommend it?

  6. Hi

I think you are mistaken when you say You cannot plug your phone into the 20S' AUX jack, turn off bluetooth, and make calls. The AUX port is only an input for "MP3 devices."

I connected my Galaxy S3 to the Sena with the included lead. Using S Voice I made a call without any problems. I also ran a recording app to prove the mic into the phone is always on and it is. Mynext step is to rig up a ptt button and connect to my Baofeng UV-55.

    I hope this helps.

    Garry
