  1. If your maxing out budget wise I think I would go for the R120 over the two options.

It's a well known engine with parts easily available all over the world, simple to work on and cheep.

The engine lacks any real 'kick' in terms of thrust but it works well if your light enough and will get you in to the air. :-)

I would have a good look around though if I were you as I think you could get a much better Paramotor (than the two you have opted for here) for 4000USD or less.

Everyone want's the lightest and often cheapest paramotor the can find, I would think about allowing a couple of extra KG's and getting a stronger more robust machine. The couple of KG's in basically undetectable when on your back. :-)

Take your time, continue your research, find out what people fly locally to you and consider the same. This is useful for building up a spares pile and backup from someone who has had the same machine as you and knows it's 'niggles'.

Most of all, enjoy the process of hunting for your gear but don't rush it.

    thanks for the input simon..

actually we have very few paramotors available to buy in our country. i can go for better 200cc motor too but that would mean to buy from outside my country and have it shipped and deal with all teh customs and taxes :( lol . that woudl straight away increase my cost up by 50%. like for 10,000usd package it will go upto minimum 15000usd.

thanks i will think about it. :)

  2. dear flyers

there is this deal that is offerring 4000usd for Raket R-120 Aero Paramotor 40 hrs (Used) and 1500usd for up summit 3 used paraglider 20hrs.

total is 5500usd for whole package. i think by spending few extra , eg 2000usd you can get a blackhawk bh 90 brand new package, this would be a better deal. any opinions

    thanks.

thank you simon for the warm welcome :)!

i am planning to visit the adventure club(7 hrs from my city) for 2 days this week and will have a chance to do paragliding/paramotoring ;).

by the way i was just looking for places that are practical for flight and found this place. its on the way to my office, approx 40-50 mins drive from my home. called ravi river. i just tried uploading the pics but the forum has size restriction so cant show them now :(.. it has around thousands of acres and ground space is adequate too for landing and takeoff.

happy flying this week. that is if you guys are flying this week!!

  4. hi guyss

so excited to learn about this amazing hobby and having joined the forum.

well i always had a passion for flying but was mostly into remote control (planes/kites and helis) stuff for the past 15 years.

i am male 29 yrs and having 66kg weight based in lahore city of pakistan(beautiful place by the way ;)!

i have been watching a lot of videoz lately and reading up some info online and just fell in love with paramotoring. :dive:

i have done paragliding with a trainer 2-3 times in my life and also skydiving with skidive lasvegas. i just learn that there is a paramotor training centre 7-8 hrs drive away from my city. i guess i will have to go and stay there for few days as proper training is a must.

i am not sure if my country has laws for PPG license or anything. will find it out. :). also suitable places for flight near my home town.

just need to learn so much now :). sorry you guys had to go over this long post. ... its just the excitement what can i say. :acro:

i am still researching on what equipment to buy, compete package or separate parts and where to buy. i will have to import it to my country or have it bring over by a friend from usa/europe to pakistan as i read that it can weigh max 30 kg. :coptor:

anyways thanks for reading.. will be in touch

tips and suggestion would be highly appreciated!!

    regards

    mahmood ! :D
