Pretty as they look it is just a few people with string and sticks making them.
That would be interesting to see..."strings and sticks" making some of these intricate designs....
-
Disappointing. I do like something different.

I know I've awoken an old thread but can someone shed light on this?
Is the rotron discontinued? Are there alternatives?
Thanks

Just wondering…
Could anyone hazard a guess as to approximately how many paramotor-ers (??!!) there are in the UK?
It's great to be part of a unique minority community!
Yup, there are 7

You're right, that is a good weather app.
Any recommends on GPS? Grabbed a few but nothing that is pressing my buttons yet
EDIT: This looks decent PPGpS

Is there an app you just live for paramotoring?
GPS or route planning or weather related?
What do you use?

So i think I've talked her round. All i need to do is get to 90kg.
112.9 and counting.
Surely this is a win win situation.

or this is an option, anyone know what kit this might be?
The wife is adamant I'm not doing this btw, any tips?

I'm doing lots of reading, I'm wondering if I could get the Mrs up with me and might be worth going down the PPL(M) route for a tandem buggy.
I'm 113kg and the Mrs is 57kg, I guess there's no chance I'd convince her to learn to do it herself.

Hi Ben.
Me and my dad are from Manchester, we did have some lessons there but switched to manchester Paragliders.
We're both still flying round our neck of the woods.
Cheers Lee.
Who is this Richard at Stainland? Was it an official school?

Hi
I'm Ben. I live on the Halifax/Huddersfield border.
I looked at paramotors years ago and talked myself out of it.
Bought a traction kite and learnt not to put a 5m kite up in 25mph winds. In the time it took it to pass through the power window and get overhead I'd covered half a football pitch. Luckily the only injury was my best mate laughing so hard he nearly collapsed.
So fast forward 11 years and here I am. 10kg heavier, more responsibilities and a bit of disposable income.

This blog really caught my eye as you mention the field at Stainland and i live a 1 minute walk from it. Is your dad in Stainland? Is he still flying?
Did you have lessons at the field in Stainland?

I didn't, I read some books, booked in to parafest then realised it was my Mum's 60th and sold the tickets.
I lost some weight though
Apart from that, nothing sadly.
