  1. HI Guy & Girls.

Hi Pilots. We are planning 2 flying expedition this May/June on a 100ft sailing boat around the Scottish islands. This is our first season to see how it works. We have already been flying in this area and think it is some of the most amazing flying in the Europe.

If you are interested, please have a look at the website. Spaces are limited.. We have already sold some of the seats, with the possibility of running more trips.

  3. Dear Members.

I just got a call a police officier who saw 2 pilots flying very low Over Exmouth beach last Saturday.

I know all of the pilots in this region, and know it wasn't any of them from the information given, so i assuming it must be visitors.

One month ago we had a low flying pilot flying over the military base in Lymstone. I got an earful from that, even though I was in another county.

If you want to fly low, please do elsewhere.

If you don't know your airlaw, there are plenty of good books to read..

  4. Today was a wonderful flight. Did 80 mins of hearding. Moved the deer across the tundra, and worked side by side with a snowmobile.

My throttle hand froze after 40mins, but stuck with it, Then after 80mins turned back.

My takeoff was the hardest takeoff I have done. The take off was again zero wind, but I had no lift. I ran for at least 100m across the snow, and almost gave up. I applied a bit of brake, but that did little. Eventually i got of the ground, and have never been so out of breath.

When flying there appeared to be no wind on my face, which was a strange feeling, as i didnt wear goggle. My eye didn't water.

I have my last days flying tomorrow, Hope its windy,so i have an easy take off.

Now its time to drink beer, and have a saúna.

    More to follow.

  5. In Lapland now flying filming reindeers.

Been here for a week, finally flew, due to weather.

Today was -24c. took me 20 mins to start my engine. had to adjust the carb, and add some stuff to stop carb freezing.

I wore a snow mobile suit and a pair of snow boots, and 2 pairs of gloves.

Did a zero wind take off, in 1ft of snow. It was the longest run i have ever done. No lift.

Froze my ass off, and my eyelide froze up.

I spend 40 mins chasing, and hearding reindeer with a snow bike.

We only had 4 hrs of daylight, so had to head back to the cabin at 130pm.

    Then we started drinking beers.

I will post some pics and a film from the trip.

    Watch this space.

  6. Dear Team,

Sorry I missed the meeting. Simon had briefed with what happened. I propose to be at the flyin next month on the weekend of the 8th, so It would be good to gather again to update what you guys have dome since may 8th.

I am talking to my contacts in television, and with Simons mate Simon who wrk on the flying car project. . With what we have all dome in the past year, we should be able to get something really good off the ground. My angle is to propose a shoot in 3d, and I have been working in this medium for the past few months, and it appear TV networks are looking for this type of material now urgently. This also applies to cinema, as all cinemas are going 3d!

The advantages of shooting this, it can be edited as a normal 2d film for TV or cinema cinema. This opens up the potentional for IMAX.

The production company I am working with in France has just produced this new film. Winning loads of awards.......

May not be about Flying, but they produce action stuff, but the producer likes extreme sports.

The French have funding from the goverment, and they are looking to produce more 3d film with people in, rather than fish and animals.

3d is more complicated to shoot, and it has its problems, but it had an amazing experience, especially on big screen....

This could be a great way to show off what we do, as flying in 3D is amazing.... Especially on a 25m screen. Imagine, Pete that big...

Sounds all interesting. Lets all plan for something really big.

  7. Dear Team

I am glad to announce that ATP from Taiwan have kindly donated us some ATP Photofinder. These cool devices will allow is to log your flights, plus geotag all your images along the way.

When you have done the flight you just pop the card in the box, and it transfers the lat and long into the image. You then upload your image to Google or Flickr.

The purpose of this will allow all pilots to make a personal log or the website, with a collection of images.
