  1. HI to All, I looking info about propeller for H&E 120 this mean I would like to know Pitch and

    blade width for this motor ,if anyone fly with please tell me,(wooden or carbon 125cm diameter)

    I try make something my own ,but dealers when I ask dont know it,just try much my motor(Name) with prop,but what's happens if I build my own construction and "reall name" just left over-I need to now tech spec.

    I fly a H&E120. I use a wooden prop. I have always used wooden props made by Aerobat in Spain. They supply H&E. My prop has 49 30 NR marked on it.

    49 is the length in inches (that's 124.5 cm)

    30 is the pitch, so it advances through the air by 30 inches in one rotation

    NR This means that it rotates clockwise when you stand behind the engine and observe the rotation.

    I have a H&E motor that is a lot like a Pap. Same here, with all my rough landings when I was a new pilot the engine droops down in the frame. I changed the rubber mounts and even this didn't make a difference so I cut out some fat rubber washers and put them on the bottom mounting bolts to tilt the engine up. I also took the engine off completely and bent the mounting lugs on the frame forward a bit.

    Finally a good flying buddy took pity on me. He worked on the frame on its own. He bolted a wooden form to the floor and with pulleys and some long levers bent it back into shape over it. He did it without putting a kink in the steel tubing.

    It all looked a bit drastic as I watched him but the result is a frame that is as good as new with same prop / frame clearance all the way round.

    Keep posting your vids. They are wonderful. Love the one with you and your friends messing about near Tarifa, you know with the truck going backwards. Thing is, that videos like these spur us on and some people even organize trips to the south of Spain. A group of us are going to Motril beginning of Oct. :D

    Why not put that money towards a training course where all the kit is provided. That way you get good training with excellent kit and get some time in the air. It will also give you a chance to try different kit ie. wings and how they handle, motors and how the feel on your back etc.

  5. Is it legal for a Beach Warden to stop me flying off the beach at Brean or Weston super Mare. I don't understand how someone can own the beach if they have not actually bought it and have deeds to prove it.

    Might be best to look up an insurance broker and get the 3rd party insurance.

    If you can't find a broker that can get you the cover you need then ask the Spanish pilots who their club/federation uses to provide cover and go directly to them.

    You could get cover from a company in the UK if it covers flying in Spain.

    Please do not give up yet. There has been some good advice posted on here already. Don't expect to pick up exactly where you left off but perhaps a little further back.

    A day with an instructor is an excellent idea and surround yourself with supportive flyer friends.

    When you do make your next flight select a day with a good clean breeze. This will help with getting your wing up and ensure that the wing makes the short run with a flat top a short light run.

    Do this with an instructor so you do not feel overwhelmed by all the decisions that you would have to make if you where on your own.

    I have just a little over forty hours paramotoring done now. As soon as I did my course and got my equipment I picked up an Apco Thrust (M). It has been great. Last Summer I used it on a paragliding course with Steve Griffiths at the Mid Wales Paragliding Centre and then in October I went on the Paramotorclub.org Spain paramotoring holiday with Simon Westmore and the boys. The wing has been wonderful and in pretty rough conditions it was steady and safe.

    When you do your course try out different wings and see how they feel. :)

    I did my training with Sky School and am now able to fly on my own when I feel like it or with a few friends here in the South West of England.

    The weight thing; don't worry too much about this. When the paramotor is on your back it is quite comfortable. When you run to take off, the wing comes up and as you run forward to take off, the power of the engine helps to push you forward and the wing begins to take the weight off your back almost immediately.

    If you are running for take off in nil wind the wing is a little slower to start taking the weight of the engine. Not to worry, I know that all your first flights will be well supervised at Sky School and if you have a light head wind then the wing will come up easily and the weight will be taken off your back quickly as you feel the lift in the leg straps.

    As for the PAP it appears that the PAP is the most copied design- need I say more?

    I live in Sandford near Weston. I usually fly off the beach at Uphill. Perhaps we could hook up in the future and do some flights. I fly a HE 120 and an Apco Thrust. Did my training with Alex Ledger in Oxford and Ordis, Spain.

  11. possibilities are long wrong carb ajustment, bad plu, air getting in the head, or the carb' worn rings' cracked piston,

    is the revs eratic or is it not on full revs when you aply full revs also when you aply full revs do you get them and then they drop and come back or drop and you dont get them at all but it is ok on low revs?

    If I apply the throttle slowly the revs come on and even reach 9000 + but then fall away alarmingly. I then have to throttle back and coax them back again before it happens again. The engine seems to run well on low revs and on idle it ticks away. This is a new carb. Bye the way what is a plu? I am new to 2-strokes and I can see it is going to be a steep learning curve.

  12. Can anyone tell me why the power can be sluggish to come on when required? Why would the tiny tack show revs of 9000 and when the caliper is pressed all the way home the power fall back a thousand or so revs and become eratic in output. I expect the revs to come on when I want and continue until I ease off on the throttle. :(
