The main advice is not to buy anything until you have done your training. During your training you will pick up the knowledge to make an informed choice. There is no 'best' wing, just the wing that suits you and your circumstances.

Good luck with your training, it's a fantastic sport.

Kit will depend on what you want from your flying... there is no point buying a motor that is either really powerful or burns allot of fuel if you want to go on big XC's

Wings will also depend on your back ground. If you Paraglide or sky dive etc IMO there is no point buying a bottom end wing as you will get bored of it very quickly...

Take good advice from your instructor and speak with as many local pilots as you can...
