paul2289
The pin has fallen out that holds my starter pulley onto the frame for the last time. At the moment I have replaced it with some twisted wire. Has anyone had the same problem and got any better suggestions to secure it?

alan_k
Hi Paul, This was one of the first things I did when I got my V5. I secured the R pin using a thin 'O' ring as shown: No more dropping the clip
hotwinfiles3326
I always put mine in my mouth when setting up. The only time I didn't I lost it.. I used a safety pin for a couple of flights.. I went to a chandlery and bought some spares for a couple of pound.. These ones are like a key ring so don't fall out..
paul2289
Mine was really weak and would fall out by itself. The pulley is off a boat and is not really fit for the job in my opinion. I have found a site that sells the r clips for 20p each min order of 10 so i wont need to worry about spares! http://www.boneham.co.uk/shop/product/r ... less_steel
