bubba1
I am off to St Ives in Cornwall for my family summer holiday later this year. I am going to take my kit with me. Does anyone know any paramotor friendly farmers in and around that area with a field I could use.
helimed01
Hi Bubba. Most fields are in rotation and use depends on farmers plans. Ask /look around when you arrive. However just East of St Ives is Hayle Towans with lots of areas to take off from. If you don't fancy that a little further east you have the North coast road to Portreath. Along that road there are many very large fields kept in grass used by modellers etc and don't have gates. I often park on one of the rough car parks on the North coast and walk across the road with my kit into one of the fields. Trying to find land owners for that area is impossible as nobody knows. Give me a call when down we can have a flight. Hayle Towans is 3 miles of beach often empty and great to fly. A short hop South to the S coast is easily achieved and flying St Michael's mount at low tide is spectacular. No Penzance ATZ now either. Or if feeling like a longer flight a trip round to lands end and the Minack Theatre is also one of my favourites. bubba1
Thanks Whitters. I know that road. I occasionally kitesurf at Gwithian when down your way. Hope to meet up with you in the summer. Chris
