miniwing2 Posted September 8, 2014 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Anybody thinking of ppg off Formby or Heysham beach tomorrow,i have checked NOTAMS would rather meet up with regular flyer for a final brief to what should be a smooth days flying, and maybe the root onto the beach and takeoff area. paul2289 Posted September 9, 2014 Share Posted September 9, 2014 I fly from Heysham and Pilling down the coast line. Its been too wet on Pilling the last few days as any tide over 8m got up to the shore and does not dry out. Also Heysham is in the Power station no fly zone so you need permission of them to take off. There are a bunch of guys called the Lancashire Hot Props who fly from Heysham quite often. miniwing2 Posted September 10, 2014 Author Share Posted September 10, 2014 Yea as you said the tide was well out at five oclock last night but was very boggy and no one was flying so anyone thinking of going out there thinking they are going to fly at low tide ay gona happen .check tide hights first .cheers on that Paul,cant wait to catch up with a few of the lads ,looks a good place to practice winging it .B&B reserch about to commence.
