SW In 1986 a very small group of individuals decided that they wanted to introduce a helicopter (air ambulance) into the pre-hospital environment, something that had never been done in this country. Just imagine the barriers they faced trying to bring this dream into fruition. If they had listened to all the doubters, allowed rules and regulations totally dictate direction, not stayed focused on the task in hand, there would be no air ambulances flying today. Sometimes you have to leap and build your wings on the way down. (Kobi Yamada). Thanks for all your efforts Simon, it will be all worth it Im sure. Regards Whitters. Guest
You said, "In 1986 a very small group of individuals decided that they wanted to introduce a helicopter (air ambulance) into the pre-hospital environment," It is the EXACT people you mention above that I need to thank for saving the life of my dad. It was that very First Air Ambulance in Cornwall that saved his life when a JCB landed across his stomach after tipping over. Thanks Richard SW
Guest
All, It just goes to show that we all know someone who knows someone that has used an Air Ambulance. I saw the same one a few weeks later for two people that were thrown from there horses. The one above took 15 mins to get to us in the middle of nowhere Awesome! .
