ganers
Hi all. I have an old castaloucio ( probably spy wrong) solo 210 that is spare. I've been doing a bit of refurb on it and the swing arms come out from the frame dip down then rise up and turn in towards the pilot. Makes it uncomfortable as when under load the swing arms come and can press against you. This doesn't seem to make sense to me. On my simmo the arms don't swing at all and just come out and turn up, similar on the bulldog my dad has. Why is this, what is the purpose and is it possible to change this? Any thoughts would be welcome. Cheers Lee

Guest
The simplest way to share pics is to use the iPhone app (PMC Forum) Other than that, save the pic to your computer, start a thread as normal, below the preview button you should see a (choose file) button, click that, browse to your picture and click add file. Job done. SW

spigot
I've not long sold a fly castile, thing! And I don't recall the ends of the arms being bent in towards the body. They should be parallel with the frame when the strap is done up. Giving a little extra room. ganers
That makes sense but even the loops on. The harness are horizontal.
pete_b
Seen one like this before (along time ago) are there any stops between the swing blocks and the frame? the arms should be at 90 degrees to the frame and not come in any more, could you put some packing/adjusters in to stop them coming in more than this? ganers
The white blocks stop when they are 90 deg to the frame but cause of the curve in the arms they come in more. What I'm thinking to replace the arms and make them solid not swinging. I would prefer to change the attachment to the harness so arms turn up and not in. Would this cause problems? Cheers Lee. pete_b
Can you not just put larger stops in to stop them coming in so far? Is it the arms each side of you or at the front where they bend in thats the problem?
ganers
It's where they bend in that's not too good. If they bent upwards it would be fine.

ganers
I was thinking of making some but wondered if there were any foreseeable problems
pete_b
Just getting the new arms to fit the harness right.
ganers
Thanks for that so as long as the arms are fit and snug to the harness everything should be fine. Cheers Lee.
