Guest
http://vaavud.com/ I think I may well have a go at one of these little numbers. SW
nigel_d.
It's a neat idea but 45€ for a plastic windmill that probably just contains a couple of magnets for the phones magnetic sensors to detect rotation seems a bit steep. Nige
Guest
It is a little expensive at £22 But I suspect its not in the hardware, its the app dev that would have cost a shed load I recon. SW
hugo_v
Do you know how it compares to this one? http://www.weatherflow.com/WindMeter/ The WindMeter seems smaller and maybe more accurate, but also possibly more delicate.
PatPux
Which is better for us. One you must judge the wind direction and point at it for accuracy , the other will give a maximum regardless of direction ( and not give any direction data)
Quinoxyfen
If I need to judge wind speed for spraying, or even flying if I ever get around to it, I turn my back to the wind an walk/run until I can no longer feel the wind on the back of my neck: slow walk = 2mph fast walk = 4mph slow jog = 6mph fast jog = 8mph sprint= 10mph after that I can't go any faster and its too windy for spraying or flying, of course this is not nearly as good as a shiny toy/gadget, but then I am a tight fisted farmer! PatPux
I suppose you could go half way to high tech and let the iphone tell you how fast your running when you don't feel any wind, even Farmers have iPhones. LOL
Quinoxyfen
You're assuming that I can run and look at the phone at the same time!!
