Carbon Fiber Prop (edge protection)

Recommended Posts

I fly quit a bit. I bought a 130 carbon fiber prop for the miniplane last year. I love the prop it has just enough thrust (really don't need any more).

However I'm getting a little worried its starting to disintegrate. The main edge is really starting to disappear.

Before it gets really bad is there some coating I can put on this to stop/slow the process down?

It is a thin prop compared to others I've seen but its works really well.

Thanks

plastic, 3M Paint Protection Film was initially designed to protect helicopter blades from debris during the Vietnam War.

$7 looks good too.

I like this option better then paint

I would like to think its something in the air here too but I'm starting to think its could be the marathon feet drags I've been doing down the beaches lol I think sunday I did a 200-300 meter drag

Just might have something to do with it.........

cheers
