hugomakin
Hi All, I'm not good with motors. Any help appreciated. I have a V3 which pre-flight tested fine today. Then I de-rigged for 5 mins. Got ready again. When I hit the electric start nothing happened. No turning over. Not a click. Thought I might have bent forward too much on getting up and flooded it so I went through the routine to sort that. Still nothing. (10 turns through compression with it tilted). Went home. Tested battery. 12.4V so that seems fine. Can anyone advise me what to check next please?! Thanks (in frustration), Hugo
ptwizz
I had a similar issue with my 175. It turned out to be the battery connector. If there's not even a click when you hit the button, there's no power getting to the starter. Check the battery connector, check the wires where they enter the throttle umbilical, check the main ON/OFF switch and any other connectors you can see. If you're not sure, PM me and I'll ssend you photos (of my motor) with points of interest indicated. Good luck!
