Skybluerob
These quadcopters are addictive. I started at Xmas and have gone thru' 3 mini UFOs, and repaired the 450 several times. The frame always failed at a weak point near the motor mounts. I built it up with the glue gun, which is essentially molten plastic. Looks ugly but I have struck the ground many times now without failing. ''You have to break a few eggs to make a cake..Lol''

Skybluerob
I resemble that remark Beenflying much? It's been rubbish here... I'm apprehesive about flying next time as it's been that long..!! I did notice that landing and take of sites were limited in marbella... It was either built up, rough ground, hilly or orchards and the beach was narrow. The tide hardly went out..!! asquaddie
Has anyone compare the Phantom withe the DJI 450 with the Nasa? Some reviews say the 450 is more programable - so you don't need to upgrade in later life........ Tony

Tony Hi Tony The Phantom uses exactly the same DJi Naza controller that the 450 uses, in fact you could say that the Phantom is the little brother of the 450 ...dressed up in girlie party clothes The Phantom is an inspired move by DJi to bring serious multi-copter technology to the masses, non-techies like me that just want to remove from the box and be in the air in 20 minutes, but want all the technology that the bigger drones have (and more). They've succeeded, they are selling in drones....I mean droves. Dan

I haven't flown in 2 months!!! The weather's been like the UK only rain instead of snow. Never been grounded this long. As regards to the terrain and launch sites. It's pretty dire here, cause it's so built up. Price you pay for a good climate (or not so good right now). It's certainly not for everyone, that's why a serious recci is so important before any big decisions are made. Dan
