poz
Wow, GoPro have taken a slating on Amazon over the seemingly premature release of the Black edition... http://www.amazon.com/GoPro-Hero3-Camera-Black-Edition/product-reviews/B00AHJFL30/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1 Dan
enzo200500
Looks like manually updating the firmware is the way to avoid the 'freezing' issues!
stuartasutherland
Mine works great but the battery life is much poorer that the GP2. I bought a battery back for mine. Also, if you want hassle free excellent footage, make sure Protune is OFF. With it on it is like taking photos in RAW, you need to do a tonne of work afterwards to improve it. Guest
RAW footage is an editors dream The post production colour grading afterwards is vital in video to add mood... Blue, grey... cold / sad Red, Yellow, hot / happy kind of vibe. Its cool that entry level cameras can now shoot RAW. SW
Guest
I am however going to go for the Sony as I have always found the Go-pro to be unstable and the new one seems no different. SW
tommcb6016
I looked at the Sony but it only does 2mp stills...
tommcb6016
I'm going to get the black gopro once they've sorted all the issues! (If) I would have the cash now but had to spend it on a new prop
Guest
Correct about the stills, I have little to no interest in stills so that not a problem for me at all SW
Steve
The Sony wasn't without its own issues (or have these all been sorted now?). With tech it's generally advisable to avoid v1.0 of anything.
