Guest
Does anyone know anything about http://powered-paragliding.net/english/parakrosny.html the Airgate Mantis? A Czech made unit with a skoda (walkerJet)? engine. The thing that attracted me is the ability to recline the seating position giving the potential for much more roll control. If anyone has one or has flown one or knows anything about them at all please post.... Ta

Guest
Steve (Mad Cow) Cowham came very close to being the UK dealer a couple of months ago. He's probably your best bet.
Guest
From his response on the 'other' forum it looks like he has gone coy. He made a big thing about how he was going to import these things a few months ago (along with the reserves he stocks) but then all of a sudden it didn't happen. He might give more info if you e-mail him directly.

Guest
Thanks v23nb (sorry I should know your name) I have emailed the company directly. When I find out more I will post the results. seems like no-one knows much about these units in this country yet. What do we know about Czech engineering generally? The travant wasnt one of theirs was it?
norman
I had a Jawa 250cc bike for a while as a lad. I took the gearbox to pieces once and after reassembly still had a few bits left over. It ran on for ages, and ages, and ages. The Czechs license built aircraft for the Germans during the last great unpleasantness. I think they do OK. Guest
Why did they build airplanes for the Germans during the world cup?
