As it stands, it seems as though the rules of engagement were followed (main one being not to fire kill shots until you are under effective enemy fire) They were under effective (meaning you will die if it carries on, rounds landing at your feet kind of stuff) enemy fire. It seems, he was captured and then shot after attempting an escape. More info is coming out every min, some TV media this evening. The 7 RMC guys are taking the hit together as they believe 'of course' that they acted in the way they were trained and in line with the rules of engagement.
