bigpapa
Hi. I'm thinking about a fuel gauge for my paramotor. Has anyone got any experience with these fuel gauges? They look like a neat solution, but not sure how accurate it would be. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310452117491 What other solutions have people tried? what's best? Also, wheres the best place to get a tiny tach? Are there any better/cheaper alternatives? Cheers. Geoff.
enzo200500
Been discussed many times geoff! Best/cheapest gauge is the convex mirror on lanyard. Never goes wrong!, T/tach do have a uk distributor, but you could also try fleabay. I did put some links up on a previous thread with other options. It was on phil1975's thread I think? bigpapa
I have the mirror on the ski pass thingy... I was looking for something a bit more scientific. I like the idea of the time to empty and instantaneous consumption.

enzo200500
There has been an ongoing debate on the yahoo groups about the accuracy of cheap flow meters and the results given when our engines are on tickover/low revs! It still rages on.... If you want gadgets, get a cht/rev counter, or egt. Polini make the neatest one I have seen so far.....pricey though! Steve
Try these for your tach: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Digital-Tachometer-Hour-Meter-Motorcycle-ATV-Snowmobile-gas-engine-jet-/140803435732?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D260739497871%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2317673980777132682#ht_6549wt_1165 And this for your fuel: http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/200801950637?item=200801950637&ViewItem=&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160 I use and recommend both. shaggydec
To look at your fuel , just lean out to one side and look down... Or if you cant , take a quick photo.....
morgy
If you want a reliable and accurate fuel management system then you have too have a B1 Vario with the M1 motor system. This is the ultimate system but it does come in fairly pricey. IMO you can beat a mirror on a lanyard
