touch107fm
Hi Guys Has anyone paid the $50 dollars and went for the vimeo plus. I just uploaded a 12 min to u-tube and it looks rubbish. I played the source file out on my 42 inch tv and it looks great, on u tube it looks heavily compressed. Cheers, D.
stuartasutherland
Vimeo stuff does look good, but so does youtube if you select 720 or 1080 in the settings at the bottom of the video. Were you watching HD? I was tempted myself but it is a lot to pay for no adverts. Stuart
touch107fm
Ah I decided to get it in the end. I watched the video on u tube and then watched the original clip I was not impressed. One of my work mates broke it down for me 'Tis only $1.50 per week' which is nothing + plus I dont mind supporting the vimeo team. I will try it for a year, I really want to ramp up my videos ,I waiting for the new macbook to come out in June. My old macbook (2007) is still going but using imovie on it is starting to be a struggle. I had a taste of Final cut X... So easy to use!! I know you can adjust video quality on U tube but most folk just click and play, they are not to bothered about quality. Whats the point in having all these great cameras if they look not so great online. I have being doing some research into ways of making the videos look online. I have a 12 min clip uploading now. I will post here when its finished. Cheers, D.
