Cessna Posted May 12, 2012 Share Posted May 12, 2012 Hi All I'm afraid its more "silly" questions from me!, looking up various PPG models, and saw one with a high mounted fuel tank, is that really a safe option? gordon_dunn Posted May 12, 2012 Share Posted May 12, 2012 Yes- an old debate. The lower tanks are more popular nowadays, but thats mainly down to weight and balance. The risk of fuel ingniting on a hot engine due to high tank leeking is negligable- petrol vapour needs a flame or spark to ignite.
