pete_b
...almost anything?Well the answer is yes if it is about the right size. I dug up this old pressure cooker base at the bottom of the garden a month ago. Now I've got some time on my hands I got to thinking I could make that into an antenna. It works on the 1.3GHz band that I use for video links, and has a suprisingly good gain. For the techies it's acting as an open ended waveguide with a 1/4 wave launch probe. Cheers, Alan They've been doing it with WiFi for years (old satellite dish) goes 20+ miles
