Crackcase failure of solo engine

I have a Fresh Breeze solo motor of quite a vintage design, by modern standards.

The re-drive assembly holding the large pulley and prop boss is attached to the output side of the motor with 3 M8 bolts through holes in the crankcase casting.

I was climbing after take off on full power when I felt abnormal vibration so turned around and landed. The upper fixing position has fractured as shown here:

Did you change it or repair it last time it happened?

If you changed it then it would suggest that the engine casing that it mounts on is not flat, you try adding gaskets to compensate this.

Also check you prop balancing, that is the the sort damage that fibrations can cause, especially on the prop pulley housing
