stuartasutherland
Hiya, I'm considering giving my Macro a new lease of life and would like to get it sandblasted and re-powder coated by a local company. I need to remove the swing arms. The pivot bolts are threaded I notice and thought perhaps my screwing in a bolt, might push out the pivot. Unfortunately it tends to spin. Anyone had experience of removing these? It would allow me to replace the bushes too. Thanks Stuart
haze
I'll ask the chaps at Parajet for you, tomorrow and get back to you here when I've got an answer. All the best Steve
pete_b
Wedge it through the hole for the cage, screw bolt in and pull out. Pete

tommcb6016
I had to take mine out when I first got it as one pin was bent, slide hammer pulls it out easily. I was thinking of having mine re powder coated too! Thinking black, have you had a quote? We've got powder coating at work but it's difficult to get it done (politics!) tommcb6016
Apparently gasket remover is the best way to remove old powder coating??
stuartasutherland
Chaps, just had a quote at a local place. Sandblasting and powder coating all three cage sections and the main frame - " about £100" I think it will really freshen up the machine (except for the dents and agricultural welding).
