matt_k
What setting do you use R1-R5?
oilyrag
Me R-5 why buy a HD camara and not use it in HD?? Mark
stuartasutherland
I use 720 on 60fps. I prefer the widescreen and ability to slo-mo some footage. 720 is plenty good enough for me.

matt_k
Might be a silly question but when i change the resolution settings is that also for still pictures or are they the same resolution whatever you choose eg R3 ?
matt_k
Just found out on the Go pro web that the photo setting is always on 5 mega pixels. hmmm thought it would have been more
matt_k
Would you get a better quality photo by taking a hd video on the go pro then freezing a frame and choosing a picture, than taking a 5 megapixel photo??

No. The sensor on the go pro is 5MP I think. Factor in movement etc and I would mst likely worse. Plus the use of each pixel on he sensor affects quality too. Guest
100% no SW
paramotormike
Agreed 100% no. But for low res internet uploads, the grabbing of a video still can work quite well with the GoPro.
