poz
Just putting my PapPa125 away after a pleasant flight when I noticed that the ends of the prop were missing Please could you watch my launch with the volume turned up and in your opinion tell me what happened and whether or not I did something wrong. Guest
Sounds like the lines have pulled the cage in to your prop dude. Check the cage for signs of 'interference' around the 3 and 9 O-Clock areas. SW
garyfreefly
Ive got a video somewhere that also has the Exact same noise in my case the prop was also nicked......it had come into contact with the mallions on the risers (metal) I searched for ages to find the mark and if it wasnt for the fact I had prop tape on and it had left a speck of it on the mallion I wouldnt have been sure what had hit the prop.....? Also bear in mind that the paramotor that you are using Pap 1400 the frame can flex on a forward launch and catch the prop also......I noticed on your previous perfect take off your motor is not fitted the the optional bar that stiffens the frame up which eliminates the problem
poz
Thanks for that Simon & Gary. Just got back with the frame bar to go across Pierre also said that my take off is flawed because I should be leaning back as I move forward, letting the paramotor push me. I watch experienced pilots launch like this and I have to say this technique does make launching look so relaxed and easy. Will give it a try. Thanks again Cheers Dan
paramotormike
Here is a pic of the cross bar mod I made to my old H&E Paramotor. Totally stopped all cage flex in the horizontal plane! Edited November 25, 2011 by Guest
