Guest
copied from a spanish Paraglider contact. Be careful with Go Pro cameras and Drift type mounted on helmets when flying paraglider ! Its One of the causes of several incidents when the lines get around the camera, also interfere seriously radio signal especially Drift Model Now I can fully see the sense in the lines getting caught during a reverse launch (in fact I have seen it happen more than once) no so much of a problem if your not taking off at a cliff / hill site of course.) but who can explain the radio problems? aquatix
who can explain the radio problems? I imagine that might just be the Drift, with its RF remote control, not the GoPro. Just had a similar radio issue that caused much head scratching even after changing headsets twice. It turns out the horrendous interference I was getting was caused by a Brauniger vario any time it got within 2 feet of the radio or wiring ... No idea why, as I always expected the radio transmission might affect the instruments - not the other way round.
