garyfreefly
Can somebody with a better knowledge than me please explain Why or How You can have a large air display by the RAF for 3 days and over 10,000+ people watching and you dont need a NOTAM To warn other pilots I dont get it http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-w ... -28966717/ when down the road you have a kite flying event that does have a NOTAM http://notaminfo.com/ukmap
irm750
Cos them kites can give you a really bad string burn if you fly through one of their lines!
garyfreefly
heres the reply I got from the Caa and the RAF It would apear that a air display is not a unusual activity if it has helicopters and jets but if you are going to have a kite flying day you need to inform them (mr NOTAM that is) Gary, Colin, NOTAM H2882 covers this event for Friday the 8th. The Saturday and Sunday only had a SAR Seaking doing a display. This is not considered unusual aerial activity there for no NOTAM was placed.
