custom-vince
Polini have introduced a flash starter to make pull starting even easier. I haven't got my hand on one yet, but I should have by the weekend. Short description on http://www.paramotornews.com reducing the starting effort by 75% [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]
alan_k
That looks good, I wonder if it can be fitted to anything else? Cheers, Alan
custom-vince
Have now tried and fitted the new starter. Yes it works a treat. Old starter 370g and new starter is 650g. (yes on the scales, I have photos) This is why it is an option. Also if you are retro fitting, check how close your current starter is to your frame as the new one in about (approx as I didn't measure) 6-7mm deeper. Fits X-Generation no problem and just squeezed in the Kobra Venom
custom-vince
As fitted on the KobraPPG Venom Polini Thor. [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]How easy is that. I have ordered more. Outcast. Venom is in transit... waiting
clivefreeman
I want one on my pap, I wonder if it can be done ?
skybound
New starter does work a treat but can be achieved by using a bungee cord as we do on the Bulldog. The bungee like the extra spring in the starter stores your energy when the compression is reached. Bungee can be retrofitted to must machines for pence. custom-vince
Yes same principle really, stored energy, the spring I assume can store more energy than a bungee. I know bungee also works and popular on the top80. I will put a bungee on another standard Thor and compare. 15mm is it?
skybound
Have already compared the two and they both achieve the same thing. The bungee doesn't max out on the pull so stores all the energy. Experimented with all different sizes and found 10mm worked best.
clivefreeman
Very interesting, how would one apply the cord to a pa 125. ?
