Glorious weather

Recommended Posts

It was too good not to miss, little or no wind and bright sunshine.

The grass in the garden was pretty wet from the dew but when I got to the field I found it had been mown, whoopee.

Still wet but short so that was good.

There was a small breeze but by the time everything was laid out and ready the wind was nil.

A short delay ensued due to taking the strobe off the cage before flight. The pre-flight had shown it was loose in a manner I couldn’t fix at the field so it had to come off.

There was full sun shining down so I was concerned I might be a bit hot on the ground in my winter flying suit, but with the prop turning it was OK. A nil wind launch got me up and away at 9:30.

Beautiful flying conditions and great to be able to enjoy the view at 750-800 feet.

A couple of shots from the return leg:

The strobe is now reaffixed but no more flying today as I’ve had a couple of glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon with lunch :D

Cheers,

Alan
