alan_k
It was too good not to miss, little or no wind and bright sunshine. The grass in the garden was pretty wet from the dew but when I got to the field I found it had been mown, whoopee. Still wet but short so that was good. There was a small breeze but by the time everything was laid out and ready the wind was nil. A short delay ensued due to taking the strobe off the cage before flight. The pre-flight had shown it was loose in a manner I couldn’t fix at the field so it had to come off. There was full sun shining down so I was concerned I might be a bit hot on the ground in my winter flying suit, but with the prop turning it was OK. A nil wind launch got me up and away at 9:30. Beautiful flying conditions and great to be able to enjoy the view at 750-800 feet. A couple of shots from the return leg: The strobe is now reaffixed but no more flying today as I’ve had a couple of glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon with lunch Cheers, Alan
