neilc
Do anyone on here regularly use XC weather?.....I use WeatherPro on the iphone, and it's normally quite accurate. when I compare the forecasts on the two, they seem completely at odds, especially gust speed. Has anyone else noticed this?..... Neil..
aquatix
I find XC fairly accurate at the coastal sites round here, but often way out for the inland or mountain sites. RASP and the met office aviation forecasts are usually better but there is always a discrepancy between forecasts as they all seem to use different computer modelling. dugald
I use XC weather which I think (like many of the online weather sites) uses GFS data. I am not sure where WeatherPro gets its data from, but it may be a different prediction system. What areas do you fly, and which do you find more accurate? matt_k
I always use xc but always find it around 3-5mph lighter than it is, but i guess thats being on the coast. I always double check with http://www.tbyc.org/weather-station/ for a now wind speed.
