Thrust measurment

A little late, but maybe it will help someone sometime...

I changed a propeller once and wanted to compare static thrust with the previous one.

I just took a usual scale that we all use to weigh ourselves, and with the paramotor on my back i put it on a wall somewhere at my chest level and press against it with my hands. Then, a friend applied gradually full power and after several mesurements with both propellers i could jumped to the required conclusion...

Is not a very accurate method but it can give you some comparison information.

Be carreful not to smash your face on the wall or on the scale. :)

The thottle sould be applied gradually and as soon as you feel uncomfortable let the guy next to you know it.
