matt_k
Hi Pete There is a small air field that about four of us fly from along the east coast in essex near Great wakering, i will ask the owner next time i fly there for permission, its an option if your interested. Its a nice place to fly with loads of options and plenty of room to camp.

pete_b
I may have an option in Nantwich, Cheshire, Just north of Stoke. Will work on the farmer over the coming months and test the water. We have camped there before and had a fire in a pit so he's quite open to it. I know it maybe a bit far for some of you but we don't all live down south.... Cheers will wait and see

I quite like the idea of a Northern fly-in If we get enough support, lets do that eh? All in favor say 'I Duck' SW

aquatix
Quite a few of us in the NW would be up for a fly-in, but not sure if any of our launch sites are suitable for hosting one .... South coast is a bit far, but the Welsh coast would be interesting if there was anywhere suitable near Aberystwyth ?
mike1714
Ok I have a Northern phrase book now and am learning the lingo!! nigel_d.
Whats needed is a site that can only be accessed by air, so that it would be a real fly-in. Even if you could drive to within a few miles and had to fly the rest of the way. A real adventure knowing that you would have to fly out or be stuck there. rob_jones
Have people thought about joining the Charity Lakes Classic, cracking turn out las year and plenty of space to fly from. I took off from within the arena and had a cracking flight along the lakes and peaks.

rob_jones
Not much to tell really, every year there is a camping flying gig up in the Lakes (on the shores of Buttermere) It is mainly free flying but they love anything flying, I actually attended as part of the speed riding group and did some fast flights down the hills. They put on a helicopter display and giro-copter and of course everyone loves to see Paramotors buzzing around. I was the only one last year with a Paramotor, pretty neat cruising round. They also had Felix Rodriguez last year running D-Bag demos from the helo and attempting the world infinity record - one or two tumbles are great but after 150 they get a little boring. I have some photos and I am sure there are some videos knocking around of last year. Oh and not to be forgotten is the big piss up on the Sat night with band and ale
