matt_k
I was going to have a quick look over my clutch on my pap top 80 as my prop is spinning constantly even on low tick over. Any tips? will things ping around the room when i open it? is it dry in there? or should i crack open a beer and let someone who knows what there doing do it! nigel_d.
Just whip off the 2 nuts holding the reduction drive to the engine and pull the drive away, no dangers and all will be revealled. Nothing will fall out/leak, if it does then thats why your clutch is dragging (assuming your tickover isnt too high). Nige
garyfreefly
The problem that Ive had on my Pap ros engined clutch (all 3 of them) causing the same symtoms that you describe....was the pivot pins on the clutch weights siezing up ...ie going stiff they would go out to contact the clutch bell when revved up...but they would not fully retract this causes the clutch to drag..... which is what is happening......hope this helps.... Can I have a beer now
