poz
I finally got airborne and it was worth waiting for, 10 fold Also finally got to use my GoPro for the purpose with which it was intended. I will work on the quality of the content and production , but just thought I'd share my first sucess at taking an aerial video. I tried on a couple of other flights, but to be honest there is so much going on that I forgot to switch on the camera, then the next flight I forgot to charge the battery, then the file got corrupted and won't play....so finally.... The video shows my launch from a field down the road from Benahavis and then my quick flight around the village and back for tea and biscuits Talking of tea &biscuits, you may as well put the kettle on if you want to buffer watch in HD [youtubevideo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhOZjk5up-s[/youtubevideo] Yes I know I forgot to run on my nil wind landing Edited November 11, 2010 by Guest

hammertime
Nice one! Glad to see you back in the air again. Thought you were going to land on the dog running in front of you! My dad tells me there are a few paramotors keep flying over his house in Marbella. In particular one with a yellow wing. Sounds like there are a few pilots round there now. poz
Thanks for the feedback. If you don't mind watching them I'll keep posting them. Hopefully they'll get better and better as I get more confident. I love my GoPro, but it's really wide angle. I wouldn't mind somehow fitting a normal video camera to my helmet. I guess I would need to concoct some sort of standard 1/4" mount to fit next to the GoPro mount. Anyone done this successfully? Dan
cobra
im using a hd video camera on my helmet off ebay £15.00 the picture and sound is great, runs for 60 min on a 4 gig micro sd card its a tiny black camera and comes with a selection of mounts go 1 on the wing as well
helimed01
Nice one Poz. Spectacular place to fly. There is one thing in PPG that you can rely on that will definitely occur. Your engine will stop sometime and probably sooner rather than later. I’m sure you had an eye on suitable sites for landing at all times, I know I would. Great, vid looking forward to the next. Take care mate.

You're absolutely right Whitters, there was about 5 minutes where I thought if my donkey packs in now, it could get interesting Apart from those precarious few mins, there are more golf courses than you can throw a stick at around here. Cheers for the concern. ps finally found the right setting to edit the video in HD (i've redone it so it should go full screen without stretching the aspect ratio) Dan
