dan_p
Anyone out flying today? My flights been cancelled so I'm going... erm ....Flying!! Volcano in Iceland has closed UK airspace, free day for me, as soon as I can get out of Birmingham airport and negotiate the M42!! I was going to be working away, this is both good and bad - no pay = bummer, Free couple of days = Hoorah. or should I just do paperwork and catch up on everything??? norbertflyer
Looking a bit blowy for me Dan. 12-15 mph with gusts above 25. Do you think the thermals will be good enough to get to Iceland though?..... Richard
dan_p
25mph gust!! maybe give it a miss then! I had XC weather and Metcheck showing 10mph max with little gust? I reckon deffinately XC to Iceland, apparantly theres a huge thermal somewhere near there . If I could only devise a way to stop my wing filling up with ash????? norbertflyer
Don't trust Metcheck anymore, since the problems the old website owner had. Metoffice website showing the gusts, although RASP guides not showing it to be too thermic.
