Farmer_Dave
Lucky chap...this clip serves as a good reminder [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]I think that might've been his last flight if it wasn't for the help he got. DG

edwardc
Another good reason to carry a hook knife! (for sale in the PMC shop, obviously). Eddie
Farmer_Dave
That's well mentioned Eddie......I forgot the hook knife isn't part of the standard equipment on some machines DG
pete_b
Just think if you had a 30+ kilo motor on your back Now you know why we say not to fly over water
coggie49
I think the hook knife is a good idea, because the knife he was using was next to usless, it wouldn't cut the line wrapped round his ankle. Dave
Guest
To be fair, it takes nothing short of a hook knife if you want a 100% result, and even they are slow if you go at it in bunches. I tested it with some old lines a while back. 3 at a time was fast, more was slower, to the point where one riser set clogged it up. DG At a guess I would say that his paragliding buddy must have lent him the harness and helmet (see the last min or so) PRIORITIES
