Well so far, 36 and 56 are the most popular age!

SW :D

As if you have a choice :?:

Still I don't feel 56 :D:D I want to enjoy this sport for another 20 years yet :!:

Outcast, you don't look a day over 34  ; oops is that the dislexia kicking in :) or is it old age

I would think that because the remarkable 73 will skew the results it would be more accurate to remove that and the youngest age and then calculate the average from there!

The most common age is quite obvious though!

So long...and thanks for all the fish!

I wonder what the average age of Paraglider pilots is?

Bet its younger than you old buggers

It would be interesting to know everybodys reasons for the change from Paragliding to Paramotoring.

I got fed up with using my day off to drive 50 mile round trip then 9 times out of 10 just sit on the hill all day waiting.

When I did fly the sky was so crowded it just was not fun anymore.

Now I finish work at 5pm,can be in the air for 5:30 and back home for dinner at 7:00 and not just floating along the same old ridge back and forward over and over again.

Charming, we love you too.

I went straight into PPG with no previous PG experience, the major reason being the nearest instructor taught PPG to the BMAA sylabus.

Cheers,

Alan

I still practice both PG and PPG depending on what the weather is doing. occaso0nally l do both on the same day.

The one l am rusty on is TOW. Havn't done a TOW launch since year before last.

1953. so getting an old bar steward now lol.

I wonder why Paramotoring is such a minority sport.

It costs about the same as Motorcycling and is loads more fun (I was a biker for over 30 years)

People are amazed when they see you, comment on how fantastic it must be but hardly ever consider doing it themselves.

Also why do so few paragliders paramotor.

Would not want it any different though.

IMHO it is probably because many people are not even aware that it exists as a sport !

In my case, although I knew about paragliding, it wasn't until somebody suddenly appeared over a french sand dune with a motor strapped to their back and proceeded to fly off along a long beach into a lovely sunset that I realised that this was something I wanted to try out.

But next challenge when I got back to the UK was to find a suitable trainer.

Fortunately after trawling the web I found this website and then Simon...
