surrey-dad
Hey Simon, can we have an Easter fly-in at Commonleys ?Great idea Dan - but won't that clash with the French Trip that Simon, Whitters et al are currently planning?Andy
dantheman
Nah, easter is the bit between winter and summer, I'm sure we can find one weekend in there somewhere !!

Guest
I am of course up for this, I was thinking of asking one of the other regional clubs to host the next one to be honest... (variety is the spice of life as they say....) Cornwall maybe? or Up tut Norf a little. BUT, If the feeling is to use the same place, then I will make the call and ask if its OK. nigel_d.
Bet there will be a few provisos from the tenants!
spigot
How about somewhere a little bit prettier than the A40/M40 junction. Commonlys farm is nice and the jacuzzi was great! but the local flying was far from awe inspiring. How about somewhere on the welsh border. Say about halfway up. As a youth I walked offa's dyke with a few mates. now that is something I would like to see again from a different prospective. Dirt cheep out of season camping and B&B. Or youth hostels if you want to really slum it/ meet some students/foreigners/weirdos. Cheep beer in welcoming pubs and quite possibly some fantastic flying to be had. Just a thought Colin B PS I'm not welsh. just like the place
Guest
Agreed, the farm is ace for beer and fun times... But the flying is a little boring in that area. Wales, Cornwall, lake district, type of affair. SW
outkast
all the above sounds goo to me
dantheman
Fair comments boys but don't forget we can go to the various Lemmings fly in's, Pie & Peas, Farmer Daves, Las Can etc etc for a change of scenery....but if you have a cool new venue in mind with stunning scenery then why not. morgy
I used to hang glide in wales many years ago and would love to go back. Rhossili beach is amazing. you just have to whatch out for the tornado's flying toward the bombing range Also cornwall is a great place too plus if its crappy weather then there is always surfing etc
tommcb6016
I'm up for any venue as long as there is beer
asquaddie
Offa's Dyke would bring a big smile to my face. Tony
Guest
Wales is sounding tempting but...... Lets not let the nicer weathered Cornwall beaches. Nice big award for the furthest traveled. SW
morgy
Is that furthest traveled by car or by paramotor???
Guest
Good Question! Both I recon. But the award of all awards, will have to be, furthest by paramotor! SW
morgy
Is there going to be an easter fly in????? or a fly in around this time????
Guest
When we get back from France I will sort out a fly in. I am away again in May for the first 2 weeks, so it will be end of April or 3rd week in May. SW
tj
Nice one! If I get plenty of notice I can put a leave pass in and eventually make it to one! Hopefully - count me in. Tj
