Hey guys,

Pretty, pretty please...

I may need a lift home back to Reading on Sunday afternoon. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

S.

Slim, I've got some family stuff to sort out at the weekend but I'm hoping to get over on the Sunday. If I do make it over I'd be happy to give you a lift home. Would it be you plus kit?

Regards.

Ken.

Hi Norman.

Is that Burghley park Lincolnshire? If it is (only Burghley I can find in UK) it is only 117.1 miles from Oxford:

Your friends will love a drive into the country and if they all shuffle up a bit you might just squeeze yer monster + kit in. The Mrs won't notice.

Regards

Whitters.

I aim to be there by 09:00 to set up.

I should think that 10:00 will be when people start to arrive.

If anyone fancies helping out with a few Tac signs then I will see you at 0900. :D

FOR DIRECTIONS...

FOLLOW THE ARMY TAC SIGNS WHICH ARE A WHITE CIRCLE WITH A BLACK ARROW ON.

Whitters,

I have feigned a wooden leg, tried to escape at 0300 and talked of an ageing auntie with dropsy. All to no avail. I thought at one stage we would be away in Lisbon but that got changed and got me all excited, then unfortunately this re-emerged.

Sometimes sacrifice is a glorious thing, at others its diplomacy that get you where you want to go - like France in 2010.

A Tip from the Skydivers.

This weekend and forever more, if you get the chance to help someone to get airborne.

do everyone a favour and do a preflight with them its apparently what they do in skydiving.

you can't jump in skydiving without doing a joint preflight check

All I mean is check the obvious straps

riser connections

speedbar is connected

Tip steering is secure

Pilot is not wearing a tie

no loose bits string

etc the stuff you do for yourself

trimmers in the closed position.

if we all adopt this flying can only be safer.

thanks to skydiver Eddie for this tip

lets all try this weekend

:dive:

I personally am setting myself the personal challenge of being the most drunk person at the flyin.

let me know if there are any challengers.

I shall try :D as I can't fly yet I can be hung over with no real negative effect!! :P

I will be bringing my revo that came today a will hopefully be able to persuade someone who knows abit more about them to give it the once over for me

I will be there sat lunch time due to family stuff :(

Oh and is there a bar or do I need to stock up on the way ?

Alan it was excellent, two perfect flying days out of three and I believe everyone flew with at least one first flight - well done Simon !

Balloons galore and peachy sunsets just about sums it up. There was a Spitfire doing aerobatics before the Hogroast and live music on Saturday night, and even a Red Arrows flypast on the Sunday while we were packing up. Thanks to SimonW for organizing a top event and and a gold star for hiring a hot jacuzzi for the pilots to chill out in after flying.

I managed three balloons and a glory photo !!

what a cracking weekend, well done to Simon for organising it, as Dan said we even got an impromptu display by a spitfire, good to see some new and old faces again, there were no major mishaps and everyone seemed to have a good time, bring on the next one.

Dave.

PS: I need sleep and a detox :D
