norman
Hi Popeye, 2 mtr for air to air (the frequency varied I think) and one guy had an airband radio for comms with ATC where appropriate.

norman
Yes, Popeye, Airband requires an RT license, not an item many PPG pilots posses. Few have airband transceivers either. I am in favour of using airband above all other as I believe the reception is better and the available 'utility' of that facility is superior to 2 mtr. It is a matter of training and mindsets really. There are installation license issue with both solutions I'm afraid. PPG and PG operate their radios on the fringes of the word of the law as you are probably aware. You wil find threads on the forum that cover the issues quite extensively.
t_andrews
A refreshingly footnoted one here: http://paramotorclub.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=15859
