jonbud12 Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Hi all, Just starting to plan my first cross country flights. I've got an Air Conception Nitro 200. Very roughly, what fuel burn per hour can I expect? My all up weight is 120kg, minus fuel, and I fly a Cima Power 27m. Thanks Jon Quote
simonhunny Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 hi Jon, if you don't know the answer already then you probably aren't ready to go too far. I would suggest doing a few flights close by first, which will give you the fuel burn figures. Every unit is different & everyone's flying style is different, so any answers that aren't your own should be taken with a grain of salt. Happy flying Quote
jonbud12 Posted July 28, 2024 Author Posted July 28, 2024 Thanks Simon, that's exactly what I plan to do. Was just wondering about fuel burn for future reference. Quote

I would assume about three hours with some reserve on a full tank if flying xc style. That would give you about 66 miles in nil wind (22mph) When you are Google Map exploring... Thats 33 out 33 mile back.... Lots of space for dropping "Want To Go" pins on Google Maps... I have hundreds of them I can get a minimum 4 hours with a good reserve at 25mph (100 miles) but I never rely on that. 99% of the time I will fly my first leg somewhat into wind and keep tabs on my fuel and turn back at half tank and the tail wind tends to have me home with LOTS to spare.
